Safeguarding your Information

‘Subscriber’ refers to any User that pays a subscription fee and has the ability to input personal information and/or protected health information of others (for example, their customers, clients or patients) into the Services during their ordinary use of the Services. Some of our Services allow for the collection and processing of information under the direction of our Subscribers and we have no direct relationship with the individuals whose personal and/or protected health information that we process in connection with the Subscriber’s use of our Services. If you are an individual who interacts with a User of or Subscriber to our Services and would no longer like to be contacted by them, please contact that Subscriber directly. Subscribers to our Services are solely responsible for establishing policies for and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations of the jurisdiction in which they operate, as well as any and all privacy policies, agreements or other obligations, relating to the collection of personal information and/or protected health information in connection with the use of our Services regarding individuals with whom our Subscribers interact. If you are an individual who interacts with a Subscriber that uses our Services, please contact the Subscriber for assistance with any requests or questions relating to your personal and/or protected health information.
Information that we collect when you use our Services
When you use our Services, our servers may automatically log the standard data provided by your browser. Such information may include your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on each page, device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, device settings, browser type, geo-location data and information about how you use the Services. What we collect can depend on the individual settings of your device and software. We recommend checking the policies of your device manufacturer or software provider to learn what information they make available to us.
Information you provide
We may ask for personal information such as name, email address, password, user-type (student, academic, healthcare provider, alternative practitioner, enthusiast), speciality (e.g. orthopaedics, cardiology etc.). We may also ask for your method of payment and details thereof (e.g. financial and credit card information) but we do not store any of such financial information on our servers. Some of the above data is considered “identifying information” as it can personally identify you. We only request personal information relevant to providing you with the Services and only use it to help provide or improve same, including follow-up of the commercial relationship (your requests, the features of the Services you use, exchanges between you and us, ratings or reviews that have been posted online and so on), comments, advices and content that you post in connection with the Services, including via participating in our Group account features.
Information Collected from Other Sources
Social Media Widgets
Some of the Services include social media features, such as ‘Share This’ functionality/buttons. These features may collect your Internet protocol address, which page(s) you are visiting on our websites, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly in the websites. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policies of the companies that provide them.
We work closely with third parties (including, for example, business partners, sub-contractors in technical, payment and delivery services, advertising networks, analytics providers, search information providers, credit reference agencies) and may receive information about you from them.
How we Use/Share the Information that we Collect

(viii) identify, investigate and prevent fraudulent, unauthorized access to the Services and other legal activities;
(ix) enhance the security of our network and information systems;
(ix) personalize the Services by, including, providing features that match your interests or preferences;
(x) meet legal requirements;
(xi) for other purposes for which we obtain your consent.
We may also use your personal data to provide you with information about goods or services that might be of interest to you in accordance with your communication preferences (please see the ‘Marketing Communications’ section below). We may make use of the information that we have collected from you to enable us to comply with our advertisers’ wishes by displaying their advertisement to target audience.

We collect analytics information when you use our Services in order to help us to improve our Services. We may share aggregated but anonymized data about your actions on our Services with third-party service providers of analytics services.

Where you provide us with personal information in connection with your use of our Services, we retain your Personal Data as long as we are providing the Services to you, and only to the extent necessary to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations thereafter. Data Access Requests / Correcting, Updating and Removing Your Information
Upon request, we will provide you with information about whether we hold, or process on behalf of a third party, any of your personal information. To make a request to have the personal information that we hold for you edited or removed, please contact us at email@example.com. Requests to access, change, or remove your information will be completed within 30 days and may require verification of identity via email.
International Data Transfers
If you are located in the European Economic Area (“EEA”), the UK or Switzerland, we comply with applicable laws to provide an adequate level of data protection for the transfer of your Personal Data to other non-EEA countries. All Personal Data that we collect is hosted and stored in a manner that is certified under the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles in connection with personal data transfers from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland.
Where applicable law requires us to ensure that an international data transfer is governed by a data transfer mechanism, we use one or more of the following mechanisms: EU Standard Contractual Clauses with a data recipient outside the EEA, verification that the recipient has implemented Binding Corporate Rules, or verification that the recipient adheres to the EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Framework.

You also have the right to opt out of receiving electronic communications from us. If you no longer want to receive marketing-related emails from us, you may opt-out via the unsubscribe link included in such emails. We will try to comply with your request(s) as soon as reasonably practicable. Please note that if you opt-out of receiving marketing-related emails from us, we may still send you important administrative messages that are required to provide you with our Services.
Third-Party Service Providers
We may share information, including personal data with any member of our Group (which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, from time to time) and with our or their service providers, subcontractors, business partners and agents (collectively “Contractors”). Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies
The cookies we use fall into two broad types. Our cookies remain on the user’s browser for a maximum of 2 years, unless they are cleared. You can clear our cookies at any time by clearing your browser’s cache. You can opt out of non-essential cookies at any time by changing the settings on your Cookie Preferences.
These cookies are essential in helping you to move around our site and use its features, such as accessing secure areas of the website, and thus, only record broad geographic information via IP address (to determine what currency to display on the store, for example), or a token that logs the status of a user (ie. whether they are logged in or not). Without these cookies, services you have asked for, such as setting up an account, cannot be provided. In order to keep the Site, its services and products relevant, easy to use and up-to-date, we use web analytics services to help us understand how people use our site. For example, we can see which parts of the site and products are most popular, identify when errors occur and test different versions of a page or feature to see which one works best. The data from these cookies is collected from third-party analytics services. We do not share the data that we receive from these third-party analytics services with any third parties. These cookies collect broad information such as geographic region, demographics, and information about device type, operating system and web browser, but cannot be used to identify you specifically. Responding to ‘Do Not Track’ signals
Our Services do not have the capability to respond to “Do Not Track” signals received from various web browsers.
Our Services are not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you are under the age of 13, please do not submit any personal information through our Services. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help to enforce this Policy by instructing their children never to provide personal information through the Services without their parents’ permission.
