The Clinical Ophthalmology course introduces students to common ocular conditions accross a range of ophthalmic specialities including glaucoma, oculoplastics, medical retina, neurophthalmology, trauma, uveitis, and ocular oncology. The series includes narrated lectures on over 80 ophthalmic conditions. Each lecture incorporates state of the art clinical imaging including; ultra-widefield fundus imaging, optical coherence tomography, ultra-widfield fluorescein angiography, and video footage of surgical procedures. The course encourages students to apply their anatomical knowledge to common ophthalmic conditions.
Learning Outcomes
Correlate ocular anatomy to the pathogensis of common ophthalmic conditions.
Recognise the signs and presentations of ophthalmic disorders acrross a range of specialties.
Elaborate on the treatment options on each condition.
Gain an insight in the different imaging modalities utilised in ophthalmology.
