Accessing O/I Through Infobox

To see a muscle’s origin or insertion point, select the muscle from the model. The info box for that structure appears on the left of the screen. Under the title of the structure you will see the options available for that structure.

Select the O/I icon to see its origin and insertion points. Choose from the options provided. You will be taken into Isolate Mode to view the structure more clearly.

Your selection will be highlighted on the model, and additional information about the selection is displayed in the info box. Continue to explore the structure by tapping on either the model, or on an item in the list.

The model remains fully interactive, and you may rotate, zoom and pan to get your preferred angle.

Tap ‘Back’ to return to the main screen.

Accessing O/I Through Systems

Accessing O/I Through Systems

O/I is available as a layer of the Skeletal System, and shows a map of all muscle origin and insertion points across the full skeleton. Tap the Skeletal System Icon, and press the Plus button until you come to the O/I layer (the fourth layer of the system). To hide the O/I points, tap the Skeletal System icon and press the Minus button.

Select an O/I point from the model by tapping on it. The model zooms in to show the selected point. To view any O/I point in Isolate Mode, select it from the list in the Infobox on the left-hand side of the screen.

The muscle associated with the point will automatically be hidden when selecting O/I points from the model. To show the muscle, deselect the ‘Hide’ button.
