Can I change my username?

Yes! Go to the Settings tab, tap on Account Details, tap on the textfield with your current username at the top of the screen, and enter your new name.

The answer to this question is incorrect / I can’t see the target structure. How do I report it?

Although we do our very best to deliver you with top quality content, occasionally a rogue question may appear for you. When viewing any question, help us to capture these maverick questions by simply swiping to your right and tapping on the ‘Report Question’ button at the bottom of your screen. We appreciate your help and patience with this!

I want to play against my friend, how do I do it?

Great! Your friend must be at the same level as you – no cheating! 😊 Get started by choosing the same topics, then hit the ‘Find Anatomists Online’ button at the same to challenge each other.

Features

Do I need an internet connection to run your apps?

All of our apps are fully functional without the need for an internet connection, except for Complete Anatomy. Some features in this app require an active connection.

Are your apps available in languages other than English?

We have only two apps available in several languages – Heart Pro III (English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Spanish) and Skeleton System Pro III ( English, German and French).

How many systems are included in Complete Anatomy?

The app features the following 12 systems; Skeletal, Muscular (7 layers), Connective Tissue, Arterial (including the Heart), Venous, Lymphatic, Nervous (including the Brain), Respiratory, Digestive, Endocrine, Urogenital, and Integumentary.

Does Complete Anatomy include male and female models?

The male model is included, along with the female pelvic prosection model. We are currently developing the full female model and will be released very soon.

What is the difference between Complete Anatomy and Essential Anatomy?

Complete Anatomy provides the user with a detailed (complete) experience, while Essential Anatomy provides a general (essential) overview. To compare their features and tools, please visit our comparison chart.

Can I annotate on the selected Pathology and Procedure animations?

Yes, you can draw on animations. Pause the animation, annotate and then hit play. All annotations automatically save to your Summary.

Can I included my own, personalized content in addition to the provided reading material?

Yes. When in the Info tab, tap the + Create File button to go to your Dashboard. Tap on +Create new Reading Material. Then enter your document title, choose a region to associate it with, and start to add your own sections and content. You can also access this feature directly from the Dashboard by tapping on the Reading Materials tab.

Can I export content, such as images, from Complete Anatomy?

Unfortunately this is not possible. However you can share all content with fellow Complete Anatomy users via the Groups feature.

How do I access the Curriculum Manager feature?

The Curriculum Manager feature is solely for educators. It requires a purchase of the Educator License for Complete Anatomy, which is available here. Alternatively, please email completeanatomy@3d4medical.com with your details and your local sales representative will contact you to discuss further.

Should I choose the Regional or Systemic Undergraduate Course?

The Undergraduate Human Anatomy Systemic and Regional courses are suitable for new users without a basic knowledge of anatomy, students taking anatomy for the first time, or for those desiring an in-depth and thorough anatomy review prior to beginning an upper division course. Both courses contain the same level of content information, however the teaching resources (Lectures, Recordings, Screens and Quizzes) are arranged differently. How many systems are included in Complete Heart?

Complete Heart includes two organs: a full model of the heart, including three layers and a beating animation; and the lungs, which include two layers for easy navigation.

Four systems are also included: the thoracic cage in the skeletal system; the cardiac conduction system and related nerves in the nervous system; and the arterial and venous systems across the full body.

A mini anatomy model of blood vessels is also featured.

What is the difference between Complete Heart and Heart Pro III?

Complete Heart provides an experience that makes the use of modern technologies, including a fully 3D beating heart model, surrounding structures, interactive features, and new learning experiences. Heart Pro III offers a condensed heart model, and greater compatibility with older devices.

Can I export content, such as images, from Complete Heart?

Unfortunately this is not possible. However you can share all content with fellow Complete Heart users via the Groups feature.

I cannot use the Cut Tool on organs.

Right now, the Cut Tool in Complete Anatomy is not compatible with organs. We’re working on this, and hope to have an update for you in the future. You can cut all other anatomical structures in the model, and we hope this helps you in your anatomical education! If you need to cut through the heart, check out Complete Heart which allows you to do this.

How do I access the full female model?

We are currently developing the full female model for Complete Anatomy. In the meantime, Complete Anatomy 2019 contains the female pelvic prosection. We are striving to generate a true representation of the female anatomy and not merely a feminized version of the male anatomy as is currently most common in the 3D anatomy market.

Do I need an internet connection to run the app?

Yes, this app requires an internet connection.

Can I rotate the model?

No, the imagery is only in 2D. You can try out the anatomy in 3D by downloading Complete Anatomy & registering for a 3-day free trial!

The structure in the question is very small, can I zoom in?

Yes! Spread 2 fingers on the image area for a closer look.

Is this app available on Android?

Not yet, however we do plan an Android release in the near future.

The app shows a structure on the right-hand-side of my screen but the correct answer is (Left)! Is something wrong?

In the study of anatomy we refer to the, ‘Anatomical Right,’ and the, ‘Anatomical Left,’ which always correlates to the patient’s right or left when you are facing them. Confusing, right?! Just try to remember: when looking at a body in the anatomical position, the body’s right will always be your left and vice versa. For example, you are looking at someone face-on and you look at their right hand (which is on your left). The structure in question is, ‘Hand (Right).’

Does iMuscle HIIT include male and female models?

Yes! You can do all of your workouts and explorations with a male or female model.

What is the difference between iMuscle 2 and iMuscle HIIT?

iMuscle 2 focuses on resistance exercises to build and strengthen muscles using home & gym equipment. iMuscle HIIT practices the high intensity interval training method. It requires no equipment and can be performed virtually anywhere. HIIT workouts focus on maintaining muscle mass, reducing fat mass and elevating the heart rate.

How can I turn off the beating heart?

To turn the beating heart off, simply go to the Profile section and under Settings you can switch off the beating heart.

How can I change the color scheme of the app?

To change the color scheme of the app, simply go to the Profile section. Then under the Settings tab, you can toggle your interface between light and dark mode.

Can I use Complete Anatomy for iPhone or for Android without using Complete Anatomy 2018 on another platform?

Yes! With the upgrade for Complete Anatomy for iPhone or for Android, you have access to the full anatomical model, along with a large library of pre-prepared content from the 3D4Medical library. You can also choose to purchase and access Courses in the iPhone version.   To edit or annotate the model, to save content, and to create and share with groups, you will need the productivity version of Complete Anatomy, available on iPad, Mac, and Windows.

What is different between the iPhone and iPad versions of Complete Anatomy?

Complete Anatomy for iPhone allows you to access the full anatomical model, along with a large library of pre-prepared content from the 3D4Medical library. You can also choose to purchase and access Courses in the iPhone version.   To edit or annotate the model, to save content, and to create and share with groups, you will need the productivity version of Complete Anatomy, available on iPad, Mac, and Windows.

I have not used the iPhone version before, but cannot access the free trial.

Pricing

If I buy the mobile/iPad version can I download for free on my Mac or Windows PC?

Separate purchases are necessary for all platforms, with the exception of Complete Anatomy 2019, where the Student Plus, Educator and Professional licenses all include cross-platform access within the app.

Can I get a refund for your app?

I purchased the wrong version, what can I do?

If you purchased the wrong version of an app, please contact the the app store which you purchased the app from. This will either be the App Store (Apple platforms) or Google Play (Android platforms).

Do you give discounts for purchasing more than one app/or offer bundles?

Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to offer discounts. All customer financial transactions flow through the Mac and iTunes App Stores and Apple simply do not provide us with a vehicle to do so. However, we have several iPad and iPhone bundle deals available. Simply search for 3D4Medical on the App Store

How much does Complete Anatomy cost?

The app is free to download across all platforms, and includes access to the Skeletal and Connective Tissue systems. Register for a free trial of all premium features, including additional systems and models, tools and content sharing. Check out our Store for current pricing here.

Is Complete Anatomy a one-time purchase?

Customers may purchase the Complete Anatomy Atlas as a once-off purchase or avail of a Student Plus, Educator or Professional license which will give them yearly access to the Atlas in addition to a suite of other features. Courses can be purchased once and used across all devices that run Complete Anatomy, with no Upgrade purchase required.

If I purchase the iPad version can I access on my iPhone / Mac / Windows / Android for free (and vice versa)?

For access cross-platform, purchase one of our subscription options, available in Complete Anatomy 2019, which unlocks Complete Anatomy 2018 and 2019 on all platforms. Read more about the features of a subscription here.

How much does Complete Heart cost?

The app is free to download, with access to the Pericardium and Outer Fascia of the heart. Register a free 3D4Medical Account to access a selection of the app’s Tools and collaboration features, and for a free trial of the app’s full model and features. To gain permanent access to the full anatomical model, including 6 body systems, along with the full range of Tools and sharing features, you can upgrade with an in-app purchase.

If I purchase the iOS version, can I access Complete Heart on my Mac (and vice versa)?

If you’d like to run the app on your iOS and Mac device, separate purchases are necessary. The reason for this is that each app runs on a completely different software platform. Because of this, apps for each platform have to be developed from the ground up and sold separately through their respective platform stores. However, if you have purchased one version, you can avail of a 50% discount off the original price of other versions.

How much does it cost?

$3.99 – You get all the apps features with this one off payment.

Is iMuscle HIIT a one off payment?

Yes! All the apps premium features are included when you purchase iMuscle HIIT from the app store. You can use the app without creating a profile but to save your progress to the cloud and access Coach schedules, you will need to create a profile/register.

If I purchase iMuscle HIIT on my iPhone can I use it on other devices?

Yes! Currently it works on iPhone 6S, 7, 7S, 7 Plus, 8 and 8 Plus.

I already paid for it so why do I need to set up a profile?

You can use the app without creating a profile but to save your great progress, achievements and preferences to the cloud for you to access, we need to attach it to your account.

How do I turn off the auto-renewal of my license?

If you purchased on our Web Store, you can turn off auto-renew from there. Simply go to the store homepage and click the bag icon in the top right-hand corner of the page. Login if you have not already done so. Then select “Your account”, and in the next page, under “Your Apps”, select the “Manage” link above your subscription. In the following page choose “Turn off auto-renew for your subscription” and confirm by pressing the red button.You will be able to access your subscription features until the end of your current subscription period.

If you purchased on any app store, then you need to go to your app store to turn off auto-renew.

How do I cancel my trial?

Once your free 3-day trial expires, your account will revert to a free account.

How do I delete and reinstall your app on my iPad/iPhone device?

  1. Press and hold the app’s icon until the “x” appears. Tap the “x” and confirm to delete.
  2. Press the Home button to return home.
  3. Open the App Store, sign in with your Apple ID, and navigate to our app. Select Download.
*(Don’t worry, Apple will not charge you twice for an app already purchased with your Apple ID)

How do I delete and reinstall your app on my Mac device?

  1. Open Finder and click on Applications on the left-hand side of the Window. Find the app and drag to the Trash. You’ll be asked to enter your password to successfully delete the app. Next, if the app does have an icon in the Dock, drag it to the Trash.
  2. Open the Mac App Store and sign in with your Apple ID. Once signed in, click Purchased from the top of the App Store window. Locate our app. You’ll notice that there’s an Install button now active. Click Install and the app will automatically download.

How do I restart your app on my iPad/iPhone?

  1. Double tap the Home button.
  2. Search for our app.
  3. Swipe up and out of the preview.
  4. Press the Home button to return home.

Can I share my iMuscle 2 data between other platforms i.e. Apple – Windows, Android – Apple?

It is currently not possible to share workouts or personal data between Android, Windows and Apple devices. Cross platform compatibility is something we will be working towards in the future. For the moment, you only have the ability to share between compatible platforms i.e. Apple – Apple, Android – Android and Windows – Windows.

How do I sync my iMuscle 2 workout data between my iPad, iPhone and Mac?

How to sync between iPad and iPhone via iCloud: (*First please be sure to have an active internet connection on both devices and also be sure the receiving device has at least one user created*)
  1. Make sure Wi-Fi is “On” on both devices. You can do so via Settings > Wi-Fi on your iPad and iPhone. Be sure you’re connected to the same network on both devices.
  2. Log into your iCloud account on both your iPad and iPhone. You can do so via Settings > iCloud on both devices.
  3. Open iMuscle 2 on either device (Be sure you’re running the latest version of iMuscle 2).
  4. Tap on the “More” tab, then tap on “Back up & Sync”.
  5. Tap on “Back up to the cloud”.
  6. Then open iMuscle 2 on the receiving device and navigate to More > Back up & Sync. This time select “Restore from the cloud”.
How to sync between iPad/iPhone and Mac via iCloud: (*First please be sure to have an active internet connection on both devices and also be sure the receiving device has at least one user created*)
  1. Make sure Wi-Fi is “On” on both devices. You can do so via Settings > Wi-Fi on your iPad/iPhone and via System Preferences > Network > Wi-Fi on your Mac. Also, please be sure that both devices are connected to the same network.
  2. Log into your iCloud account on both your iPad/iPhone and Mac. You can do so via Settings > iCloud on your iPad/iPhone and System Preferences > Internet & Wireless > iCloud.
  3. Open iMuscle 2 on either device (Be sure you’re running the latest version of iMuscle 2).
  4. Tap on the “More” tab, then tap on “Back up & Sync”.
  5. Tap on “Back up to the cloud”.
  6. Then open iMuscle 2 on the receiving device and navigate to More > Back up & Sync. This time select “Restore from the cloud”.

How do I e-mail my workouts for iMuscle?

In order to e-mail your workouts, you simply need to have an e-mail account set up on the sending and receiving device. Once you’ve both e-mail accounts set up, please be sure to have an active internet connection on both devices and also be sure the receiving device has at least one user created. Next:
  1. Open iMuscle 2 on your device.
  2. Open “Workouts” and choose desired workout.
  3. Once you’ve chosen the workout you’d like to send, tap on “Send”.
  4. You’ll be presented with instructions on how to share via e-mail. Select “Send”.
  5. You’ll be redirected to your e-mail account set up on your device. Enter the receivers e-mail address, and press “Send”. The workout has been sent.
  6. Open the e-mail account on the receiving device. You should have received an e-mail containing the workout.
  7. Tap and hold (or click) on the icon of the workout for approx. 2 seconds, and you’ll be presented with a choice of apps to use in order to open. Select “Open in iMuscle 2”.
  8. You’ll then be redirected to the app, and a notification asking do you want to import the workout, select “Import”.

What device(s) is Complete Anatomy compatible with?

Complete Anatomy 2019 is available for iPad, Mac, Windows 10 and iPhone. Check the compatibility of your device here.

Do I need an internet connection to use Complete Anatomy?

You will need an internet connection initially to log in and sync all of the cloud based content (Screens, Recordings, Quizzes and Lectures). However, once synced, you can use the app offline and your created content will sync to the cloud next time your device is online.

Do you have a Windows version of Complete Anatomy?

Yes, the app is available on Windows 10. Download it from the Microsoft Store.

Do you have an Android version of Complete Anatomy?

Yes! Complete Anatomy for Android is now available, and can be purchased from the 3D4Medical Store and downloaded from the Google Play Store.

How do I import patient-specific information or images?

While working on the Anatomy portion of the Consultation, select the Image tool (bottom row); take a picture of the patient-specific content desired (Xray, MRI, CT, Patient’s anatomy, etc.); or choose from images already stored on the iPad. Relate the injury to the imported image with the Draw tool.

Do I have to be connected to Wifi to create a Consultation and send it to my patient?

No and yes. You don’t need Wifi to use the app and create a Consultation. However, to send a consultation via email, you will need to be connected to the internet.

How do I access my online Dashboard?

Tap the drop-down arrow in the top right corner of the Choose Body Region screen; tap My Account; under “My Consultations”, tap “View in Browser”. A secure webpage will open up – this is your personalised online Dashboard; bookmark this page and for future use.

Will you support your Pro Series apps to be compatible with future versions of iOS?

We plan to update our Pro Series to be compatible with the next version of iOS 11, and this will be the final update to this series of applications. Users should check this update to discover next steps for continuing in their anatomical education.

What devices is Complete Heart compatible with?

The app is currently compatible with iPad (2017), iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air (all models), and iPad Mini 4. iOS 11 is required on all iPads. Complete Heart can be used on Mac computers running macOS 10.12 and later with 64-bit processors.

Do I need an internet connection to use Complete Heart?

You will need an internet connection initially to log in and sync all of the Library content (Courses, Screens, Recordings, and Quizzes). However, once synced, you can use the app offline and your created content will sync to the cloud next time your device is online. Videos included in Complete Heart require an internet connection to be viewed.

Do you have a Windows version of Complete Heart?

Complete Heart is available from the Microsoft Store. Download it and begin your free 3-day trial.

Do you have an Android version of Complete Heart?

Unfortunately we don’t.

How many devices can I access Complete Anatomy on?

When you purchase Complete Anatomy for a platform, a two login limit applies for that platform. This allows you to use the same account on two of your devices simultaneously (e.g. a work computer and a home computer). Please note that both of these devices must belong to the user whose name the 3D4Medical Account is registered with. To use your existing 3D4Medical Account on a new device to access your purchases, simply log out of an older device.

How do I delete my 3D4Medical account?

To delete your 3D4Medical Account, please contact our support team with your details and your request will be processed.

What devices are compatible with AR?

AR is available on iPad Pro (all models), iPad (2018) and iPhone 6s and later, running iOS 11 or later.

Will Complete Anatomy for Android run on my tablet?

No. At the moment the app only works on phones, with a version for tablet in the pipeline.

How do I delete and reinstall your app on my Android device?

On your device go to Settings > Apps > Complete Anatomy. Select ‘Uninstall’. Restart your device. Open the Play Store and go to My Apps & Games > Library > Complete Anatomy > ‘Install’. Open Complete Anatomy and go to Profile > Login.

How do I restart your app on my Android device?

Open your recent apps.
Find your 3D4Medical app.
Swipe to the left to close.
Tap the app’s icon in your homescreen to restart the app.

Do I need internet connection to run the app?

You can use the app without any internet connection. You will need internet connection to login, and to view videos so it’s best to stay connected.

Is this app available on Android?

Not yet. We’re working on it!

What products can I purchase from the 3D4Medical Store?

In addition to some of our latest releases including Complete Heart and our courses, we now sell our licensing for Complete Anatomy through the 3D4Medical store.

What payment methods do you accept?

We currently accept payment by many major card types: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, and JCB. We are working on implementing payment using Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and Alipay. We hope to have more information about these soon.

What currencies do you accept?

We currently accept: United States dollar (USD), Euro (EUR), and British pound sterling (GBP). We are planning to add support for more currencies in the near future.

How do I choose the currency I purchase in?

You can change your payment currency using the dropdown menu in the Store, located above your bag.

How do I know if my device is compatible before purchasing a product?

Device compatibility is specified per the choice of platform you choose. In addition, a full list of compatible devices is included under the Device Compatibility section of each app’s Store page.

How do I know that your checkout is secure?

We use Stripe as our payment processor. Stripe is compliant with the most stringent levels of payment security available on the web. For more information about their security implementation, please visit their website.

How do I get access to the app I purchased?

Right after you purchase, you will receive an email detailing the steps for accessing your new app; simply follow the steps to get started.

I have purchased a product from your store however have not received a receipt. What should I do?

Please contact our customer support team directly with your request and we will issue you a receipt as soon as possible.

Do I get updates for free for my app?

We are continually updating our platforms, and many of these new features are provided for free to paid users. From time-to-time, for example when a particular feature or piece of content has been developed from scratch, we provide this feature as an optional extra for our customers.

Do I need to purchase from both my app store and the 3D4Medical Store?

No. You only need to make one purchase, per platform to access the content in your app. All of our apps on the Complete Anatomy platform can be downloaded for free from your device’s app store. You can then choose to create an account and purchase access to all of the features within the app itself, or on the 3D4Medical Store on our website. Some discounts and sale pricing is exclusive through the 3D4Medical Store, so we always recommend purchasing from the 3D4Medical Store.

I received a notification about getting a discount on the 3D4Medical Store, but cannot see discounted pricing.

Please make sure you have logged into your account on the 3D4Medical Store to see all of the discounts that you are eligible for.

I’ve encountered an error during purchase: the 3D4Medical Store won’t accept my credit / debit card.

This issue is directly related to your banking institution. Certain banks may have restrictions on international purchases (we are an Irish company, located in Dublin, Ireland). As such, customers need to contact their banks directly and ask their banking institution to allow payment to ‘3D4Medical Limited’.

I’ve purchased Complete Anatomy from your store, however I have purchased the wrong platform. Is it possible for me to switch my purchase to the correct platform?

Yes, switches are possible provided there is no price difference between platforms. Please contact our customer support team directly and we will be happy to assist you.

I am not happy with the content I purchased from the 3D4Medical Store. What should I do?

Troubleshooting

Your iPad or iPhone app is crashing/freezing on my device!

First, close the app and restart your device! It works wonders! Still having problems? It sounds like the app may have become corrupted during the download process. A delete and reinstall usually solves corrupted downloads.

How do I restore my in-app purchase without having to pay again?

Don’t worry, you won’t be charged again. Apple will never charge you twice for an in-app purchase already purchased. Just be sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase the original app and in-app purchase. Once you’re signed in, select Restore.

I cannot hear the audio pronunciations in your apps!

It could be that the mute button has been activated on your iPad. To check, using the Control Centre, swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and search for the ‘Bell’ icon. Tap on it and you will see the words Mute: Off. Tap anywhere on the screen to close the dock.

Help! I’ve paid for the in-app upgrade but I still cannot access Complete Anatomy’s premium content!

Help! I can only view Complete Anatomy in Landscape mode!

The app is currently only compatible with Landscape orientation. We plan to introduce Portrait orientation in the future.

How do I show my patient their injury?

Select the anatomical region relevant to their injury; then the appropriate anatomical screen (right side); then the appropriate tool (bottom row) — Cut, Fracture, Spur, Draw — to annotate the injury. Tap the Back-Arrow (top left) to go back one step. Tap out of the selected tool once complete.

How do I move forward to select the appropriate Pathology animation?

From Anatomy tab, select “Pathology” from the menu along the top of your screen. Smart technology will auto-populate relevant Pathology animations specific to the injury you annotated previously on the Anatomy screen. Select the appropriate Pathology animation.

How do I move forward to select the appropriate Procedure animation?

From Pathology tab, select “Pathology” from the menu along the top of your screen. Smart technology will auto-populate relevant Procedure animations specific to the pathology animation you chose previously on the Pathology screen. Select the appropriate Procedure animation.

How do I choose my desired Reading Material?

From Pathology tab, select “Info” from the menu along the top of your screen. Smart technology will auto-populate relevant Reading Material specific to the pathology and procedure animations you chose previously. To add to your Summary, tap on the grey circle in the top right of the item – the circle will turn green with a tick. You can also view the contents of any reading material item by tapping ‘Preview Text’.

Curriculum Manager: I am unable to edit my Lectures.

In order to access editing features, you need to be running the latest version of Complete Anatomy. You can download updates through the app store on your device. Once updated to the newest release, you will be able to edit your lectures.

Why can’t I see my Groups from Complete Anatomy?

Groups from Complete Anatomy are not currently accessible from Complete Heart (and vice versa). This is to ensure that everybody in your Group can access content that is compatible with their app.

Videos won’t play for me in Complete Heart.

Please ensure that your device has an active internet connection, as these videos are streamed to your device to save storage space. Library content, such as Courses or Screens, remain accessible offline once they have been synced to your device.

Your Android app is crashing/freezing on my device!

First, close the app and restart your device! It works wonders! Still having problems? It sounds like the app may have become corrupted during the download process. A delete and reinstall usually solves corrupted downloads.
On your device go to Settings > Apps > Complete Anatomy.
Select ‘Uninstall’.
Restart your device.
Open the Play Store and go to My Apps & Games > Library > Complete Anatomy > ‘Install’.
Open Complete Anatomy and go to Profile > Login.

Why won’t this app work on iPhones below 6S?

It takes a certain level of device performance to deliver the huge amount of 2D AND 3D content that is in iMuscle HIIT. We’re working on optimising it very soon so we can bring it to many more devices.

Why can’t I access Progress?

A profile/account is required in order to save and track your progress.You can set up a profile by tapping the ‘Create Profile’ button in the Progress section.

Why don’t I have coach?

A profile/account is required in order to access and log your workouts with Coach.You can set up a profile by tapping the ‘Create Profile’ button in the Accounts section in Settings
